DC Chümoukedima issues land acquisition orders for Nagaki City

DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, has issued orders for the acquisition of 330 hectares of land at Chathe Valley, under the Medziphema sub-division, Chümoukedima, for the setting up of the proposed Nagaki City project.

According to the schedule provided, the land to be acquired is situated between Molvom village and Chathe River (Chathe Prayer Centre), with Molvom village in the north, Chathe river in the south, Railway Line/New Socunoma village in the east, and Ruzaphema village in the west.

The names of the villages in which the land is situated are Molvom, New Socunoma, and Ruzaphema.

The DC stated in a notice dated May 6 that claims for compensation, if any, for all interests in the land will be received by his office within 10 days of service or publication of the notice. It said that possession of the said land will be taken over by the DC or any officer deputed by him on or after May 17, 2024.
