Dead body retrieved from Dhansiri River in Dimapur

Dimapur, Jan. 4 (EMN): The police retrieved a dead body from Dhansiri River near Purana Bazaar Bridge in Dimapur on Tuesday morning.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime), Bharat L Mankad informed that the body was recovered at around 6 am and an ‘unnatural dead case’ has been registered at East Police Station.

The deceased, aged around 30, was a resident of Urban Haat area, near Super Market in Dimapur and had gone missing since December 29, 2021, he informed.

According to preliminary report, drowning is suspected to be the cause of the death.
