Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union observes Freshers’ Day
DIMAPUR — The Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union celebrated its 11th Annual Freshers’ Day on the theme “Redefining Unity” at the 7 Miles Farm in Suddhowala Dehradun, on November 18.
An update from Suliba S Sangtam, Information Secretary of DENSU, informed that Sentesangla and Bangtick Phom, both students of Uttaranchal University, were crowned Miss and Mister Fresher respectively.
Attended by student leaders from various Northeast states in Dehradun, and Dr. Koko Rose, IFS, the event was a success.
Speaking at the event, President of Naga Students Union Dehradun, Bopeto Shohe, termed the occasion as one to foster Naga unity.
President of Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union, Lumchungli Sangtam, in his speech, assured the freshers of the union’s support and asked them to reach out for any grievances.
Pastor Along Tzudir of NCF Dehradun prayed for the freshers and exhorted the attendees on the theme of the event as well as reminded them of their purpose, according to the update.
