Dengue alert: 3 deaths, 123 positive cases in Assam’s Karbi Anglong

Diphu, Nov. 2 (EMN): Three persons have died of dengue fever in Karbi Anglong, while 123 persons have tested positive out of 179 sample tests.
Medical officer at Diphu Medical College, Dr. Longmindar Timung, stated that nine males, 13 females, and two persons in ICU were currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Dr. Timung appealed to citizens to be vigilant against the further spreading of dengue fever, by urging them to keep the surroundings neat and clean, using a mosquito net before sleeping and wearing full sleeves. He also appealed to citizens to immediately report to a nearby medical center in case of symptoms.
At the same time, a state medical expert team is campaigning at Diphu to assist the local health authority. The medical authority has done regular fogging in Diphu to prevent the further spread of dengue.
