DGC celebrates 58th foundation day, inaugural graduation day

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Government College (DGC) marked its 58th foundation day and inaugural graduation day on Thursday in the college auditorium.

The programme organised by the Parent Teacher Association of DGC, along with the college authorities, was attended by graduates, senior students, parents, faculty members, staff, and well-wishers, according to a press release.

During the event, awards and certificates were presented in academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular categories.

The ‘Dr. Hokishe Sema Award’ for topper in Arts was jointly awarded to Imlikumla Longkumer (Economics) and Pauleuhing Teilia (Political Science). Both students also shared the ‘College Topper Award’.

The ‘L T Yepthomi Award’ for topper in Commerce was presented to Juny Maya (Commerce). Different departments of the college also awarded their respective subject toppers, with all awards including cash prizes and commendation certificates.

Certificates for special contributions and achievements were also awarded to students who had excelled in various activities both within and outside the college.
