Dimapur funfair-cum-mela gets underway

DIMAPUR — A five-day Dimapur funfair-cum-mela, organised by Random Act of Kindness, got underway at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur, on Saturday.

The event began with an opening prayer said by Robert Aley, chairman of Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland.

The president of Random Act of Kindness Toka Zhimo, updated that the timing of the event will be from 5 pm to 10 pm daily. He informed that it was the 1st edition of the funfair-cum-mela organised by the Random Act of Kindness. He added that the organisation would continue to organise the event on an annual basis.

He shared that the funfair would be child-friendly event, where there will fun zone including Micky mouse, jumping castle, trampoline and maize castle. Other activities at the event included food stalls like Naga cuisines, Chinese and continental and also fun games, face painting, instant tattoo, giant wheel, disco show and many more.
