Drugs worth INR 6 crore recovered in Karbi Anglong

Diphu, Sep. 25 (EMN): Karbi Anglong police seized a huge quantity of drugs worth INR 6 crore during a regular checking at Manja police check point in the wee hour of Friday.
Briefing the media persons, deputy superintendent of police (Hq) Nahid Karishma said that a huge amount of suspected drugs were recovered from a white Tata 1109 bearing registration no. AS-01-KC-1384 during a routine checking of vehicle.
The officer informed that a total of 75 small plastic packets, each containing 200 Yaba tablets and 68 packets of brown sugar/ heroin each, weighing approximately 13-15 gm, were recovered from the vehicle. The market value of the seized drugs was estimated to be worth approximately INR 6 crore.
Three persons identified as Sagir Khan (driver) from Chingkhan Kabui village, Md. Syed Azad from Neae Tera Mokhang village, and Md. Sanif Khan from Lilong Suptu Karong village were arrested. All the accused are from Thoubal district in Manipur.
