Dzulhami Old-Age Welfare Society observes 16th foundation day

KOHIMA — The Dzulhami Old-Age Welfare Society marked its 16th foundation day on May 10 at Dzulhami village in Kohima.

According to an update, the event was attended by the office bearers of the Senior Citizens Association of Nagaland (SCAN), led by its president, Dr. Khanlo Magh and around 180 people aged 60 years and above attended the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, Magh expressed his concern regarding the moral values of the present generation, emphasising the importance of honesty, integrity, and respect for one another, especially towards elders.

He also addressed the lack of opposition in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, expressing concern that many critical issues could be passed without proper debate or discussion.

During the event, brief speeches were also delivered by Dr. R Rose, General Secretary of SCAN; SP Francis, Treasurer of SCAN; Pankathan Lotha, Joint Secretary of SCAN; and former minister Zachilhü R Vadeo.
