DIMAPUR — Hulladek Recycling Pvt. Ltd, India’s leading waste management company, in collaboration with the Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB), successfully hosted the E-waste Management Summit 2024 in Kohima on Thursday.
The summit brought together key stakeholders to discuss crucial issues and strategies related to e-waste management and recycling in northeastern India, stated an update from Hulladek Recycling Pvt. Ltd.
During the summit, experts and industry leaders shared insights on the current state of e-waste management, highlighting both challenges and opportunities unique to the region.
The discussions centred on the latest e-waste regulations, ensuring stakeholders understood and were equipped to comply with those rules effectively.
It stated that Hulladek Recycling shared its experiences, outlining the specific challenges faced in the northeastern states and the initiatives taken to overcome them. It also emphasised its commitment to being the premier e-waste management solution provider in the region.
Announcements were made regarding Hulladek’s expansion into other waste categories, including automotive catalytic converters, lithium-ion batteries, and lead-acid batteries.
It mentioned that Hulladek Recycling conducts regular awareness campaigns to educate the masses on the importance of scientifically recycling their e-waste with a licensed waste management company. To take this a step forward, they have installed 60 no parking boards in PWD, AG, Lower Chandmari and several other localities across Kohima.
The summit was attended by distinguished guests including Aghali A Swu, environmental engineer, and Kevisede Pucho, assistant environmental engineer, both from NPCB and Nandan Mall, founder and managing director of Hulladek Recycling Private Limited.

It stated that the summit brought together government officials, corporate leaders, representatives from educational institutions, healthcare sector, banking institutions and environmental activists to forge a collaborative path towards a sustainable future. It served as an important platform to share knowledge, discuss best practices and innovate solutions for effective e-waste management.
