Elected Dimapur Municipal Council members to take oath, elect leaders on July 5

DIMAPUR — Following the official publication of election results in the State Gazette by the State Election Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang has convened a meeting of all elected members of Dimapur Municipal Council on July 5.

During the meeting, scheduled at 11 am, the elected members will take the oath of affirmation as mandated by Section 60A of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023. Following the oath-taking ceremony, the council will hold elections for the positions of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson in accordance with Sections 12(3) and 23 of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, the DC said in a notice issued on Tuesday.

The deputy commissioner has urged all elected members to ensure their presence at the meeting.
