ENPO to pursue separate state demand; urges to expedite Naga peace talks
Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) passed a two-point resolution at its joint consultative meeting held on May 27 at Konyak Community Centre in Dimapur.
An update from ENPO said that the house unanimously resolved to appeal to all negotiators to conclude the Naga political talk and arrive at a desired conclusion at the earliest. It also reaffirmed the ENPO Central Executive Council’s resolution in 2021, to continue extending its support for a unified, transparent, and honourable Naga political solution.
The house also resolved that “in the event of the much anticipated Naga political solution, or the event of any unexpected prolonged delay in the negotiation”, ENPO will reiterate its stand to request the prime minister of India and the home minister “for approval and early declaration of Frontier Nagaland State for the people of eastern Nagaland”.
