Euphoria, Abhijeet spellbind crowd at Bosco Fest in Dimapur
DIMAPUR — The people of Dimapur were mesmerised on Sunday evening at the Bosco Fest, featuring the iconic pop-rock band Euphoria with frontman Dr. Palash Sen and Bollywood playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, professionally known as simply Abhijeet.
Lenin Jamir, one of Nagaland’s most well-known artists, opened the eagerly anticipated event with a performance of Alone’s “Heart” at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School ground in Dimapur.
She also won over the crowd with the song that first propelled her to fame, a cover of “Itaya Nungu,” which she performed on stage alongside Alobo Naga, who sang it in Sümi.
Renowned for their sensual blend of pop and rock, Euphoria enthralled the audience with their exuberant performances of hits like “Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Gali”, “Dhoom Pichak Dhoom”, and “Maaeri”.
Their performance entertained and resonated with the audience, who sang and danced to each beat. The band held the attention of the crowd for a continuous 90 minutes, concluding with the final song, “Alvida”.
Abhijeet, who has sung 6,034 songs in over 1,000 films, charmed the audience with his captivating voice and timeless melodies.
His renditions of classic Bollywood songs and soul-stirring ballads struck a chord with listeners, evoking nostalgia and emotions. Songs like “Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon” and “Chand Taare” showcased his vocal prowess and drew thunderous applause from the audience.
The concert was hosted by singer and songwriter Alobo Naga.
