Kohima, Jan. 3 (EMN): In an unfortunate incident, fire damaged the Chakhesang Mission Centre Church in Pfutsero in the wee hours of Monday morning.
The fire reportedly broke out at around 3 am. There was no casualty except for the damage done on the church building.
While the cause for fire is yet to be ascertained, locals suspected it to be a case of short circuit.
“With deep regret, this is to inform all concerned that the Chakhesang Mission Centre Church, T Chikri, Pfutsero suffered a fire accident on 3rd January 2022 at around 3 am resulted in the collapsed of the church building roof. However, by God’s grace, there is no human casualty”, a press statement from the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council stated.
‘Although it is yet to be ascertained, faulty electrical short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire accident’, it added and sought moral support from all.
