DIMAPUR — The first randomisation of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter verifiable paper audit trails (VVPATs) for the upcoming general election to the Lok Sabha was conducted by the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and District Election Officer (DEO) Pughoboto on March 26.
According to a DIPR report, representatives from recognised political parties, including Ghuzhuhe Wotsa from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Inato Wotsa from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, and Kamo Wotsa from the Indian National Congress, witnessed the exercise in the presence of ADC and DEO Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang.
The second randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs is scheduled to be conducted on April 3 at RO Kohima.
