Former Nagaland minister YM Yollow Konyak laid to rest
DIMAPUR: The mortal remains of former minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, YM Yollow Konyak, were laid to rest at his native village, Wakching in Mon district, after a funeral service on Friday.
W Chingang Konyak, Advisor of Geology and Mining, Department of Under Developed Areas, and representatives from more than a dozen organisations, including Konyak Union, Konyak Students’ Union, Wakching Union and others spoke during the funeral programme.
Yollow Konyak (59) passed away on March 22 after suffering a cardiac arrest at BLK Hospital in New Delhi, where he was undergoing treatment for an ailment related to the lungs.
His body was flown to Dimapur on Thursday before being taken to his native village on the same day after a memorial service.
