Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, extended warm Diwali greetings to the people of Nagaland on Sunday.
He said the festival signifies ‘victory of light over darkness, good over evil, truth over falsehood and knowledge over ignorance’.
Stating that Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is marked by decorating homes with colours, the governor added that it gives an opportunity for the people to spend time together and foster good relationships in the family, workplace and society.
“On this auspicious occasion, may the spirit of the festival guide us from darkness to light. May you all be blessed with good health, joy and prosperity,” he shared.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended greetings to all who are celebrating Diwali.
“May the festival of lights which celebrates the victory of good over evil and light over darkness brighten our lives and strengthen bonds. I urge everyone to celebrate it responsibly and to stay safe,” he conveyed.
