Nagaland Police sources have confirmed that the animal activist, Hema Chowdhary, will be brought to Nagaland on Monday.

A high-ranking Nagaland Police officer informed Eastern Mirror that Chowdhary would be taken onboard a flight scheduled to take off at 6 am from Mumbai on Monday.

The flight would be reaching Imphal via Mumbai-Delhi route, after which the accused would be brought to Kohima from Imphal by road.

Chowdhary was arrested at her home jointly by Nagaland Police and Oshiwara Police in Mumbai on July 17, following her objectionable remarks against the people of Nagaland in a YouTube video.

She was booked under Section 153A, Section 153B and Section 505, which deals with promotion of enmity in society as a criminal offence.

Chowdhary will be taken to Kohima for further probe for the remarks she made against the citizens of Nagaland.
