Holy Cross wins 2nd All Nagaland Math Quiz Competition
DIMAPUR — The department of Mathematics, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama, in collaboration with the Commission for Education, Diocese of Kohima (CEDOK), organised the second All Nagaland State-Level Math Quiz Competition for the students of class 10 on November 11.
The quiz, which was held at the premises of the college, was won by Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, with Dainty Buds School, Kohima, and St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Visema, finishing second and third, respectively, according to a press release.
Other participating schools included Loyala Higher Secondary School, Jakhama; Sacred Heart School, Khuzama; Holy Child School, DImapur; Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur; Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima; Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima; Modern School, New Market, Kohima; Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima; Baptist Mission School, Jotsoma; Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Wokha; and St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Shamator.
Ankush Chakraborty and Pabitra Deb were awarded the first prize of INR 25,000. The second prize of INR 20,000 was given to Nukshirenla Kichu and Niamkoi K, while the third prize of INR 15,000 was awarded to Zayievito Pucho and Lorhezo Koso.
They were also presented with certificates.
