DIMAPUR — The Department of English, ICFAI University Nagaland, organised a programme titled ‘A journey through words: the inked Odyssey,’ on November 1 with three alumni of the department – Dr. Inakali Chishi, Linthoi and Tokaholi as the special guests for the event.
According to an update, all the students and faculty members of the department attended the programme, which was aimed to connect, discuss and celebrate the joy of literature.
Dr. Inakali motivated the students by sharing about her journey as a writer and highlighted the importance of indigenous writings and voices, while Tokaholi encouraged the students to make the best use of their time and advised the aspiring writers to be avid readers as well. Linthoi presented self-written songs.
The programme was also marked by song performance, poem recitation, dance and drama performance from the students of the department.
