Imkong, Mhathung, Kazheto hold thanksgiving programme
DIMAPUR: Imkong L Imchen, who was elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the 5th consecutive terms from 28 Koridang AC, held a thanksgiving programme in his native village Mangmetong on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the veteran politician thanked the electorates of the 28 Koridang AC for their unflinching support in electing him. He asserted that the victory was not for him alone but for all the people of the constituency and mentioned his special thanks to the citizens of his native village for their selfless effort and untiring support.
He thanked God for speaking to the people of Mangmetong village to be united and live in peace.
In another programme, NLA Protem Speaker and advisor of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan from 39 Sanis AC held a thanksgiving programme in Lakhuti village on Saturday.
Speaking at the programme, Yanthan thanked all the party workers, his supporters as well as church leaders for their supports and prayers. He has assured to do his best for the general infrastructure development and people’s livelihood.
Meanwhile, the NDPP Wokha region has expressed gratitude to Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the NDPP president, Chingwang Konyak, for allotting Mhathung Yanthan as advisor of Agriculture.
In yet another programme, advisor of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Kazheto Kinimi, held a thanksgiving programme on March 17 at North Point Colony in Akuluto.
Speaking at the programme, the advisor thanked the electorates of his constituency for their support and cooperation and enabling him to win uncontested. He expressed happiness on the portfolio allotted to him and assured to give his best for the welfare of the community, while he also sought the support and cooperation to work together as a team for development and progress of the society and the state in general.
On the slogan of the party “Towards a state of excellence” Kinimi called upon all to continue giving the same support that they have extended during the election and work as one to take the state forward towards excellence.
