IRCS Nagaland conducts training on first aid

DIMAPUR — Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) conducted comprehensive first aid training at Mt. Olive College in Kohima and Kohima-Mariani Transmission Limited in Zhadima on August 16 and 17 respectively.

An update from IRCSN stated that a diverse group of students were equipped with life-saving skills during training at Mt. Olive College on August 16. The training was aimed at empowering students with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.

It stated that participants learned critical techniques to provide immediate assistance and support until professional medical help arrives.

It also conducted similar training at Kohima-Mariani Transmission Limited in Zhadima on August 17. The training was tailored for the employees of the company to ensure that they are well-prepared to handle medical emergencies within the workplace.

It stated that by imparting valuable first aid skills, the organisation aims to create a safer environment and foster a culture of preparedness and responsibility.

It further stated that the organisation’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible and high-quality first aid training play a pivotal role in strengthening the resilience of both individuals and communities. It stated the organisation remains committed to promoting the importance of first aid education and looked forward to continuing its initiatives throughout the region.
