JN Aier College, NEISSR welcome freshers
DIMAPUR — JN Aier College, Diphupar, held its freshers’ day on Saturday on the theme ‘Novum Venture’ at the college campus, with Dr. I Anungla Aier, retired Director of the Department of Higher Education, as the guest motivator.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aier emphasised the crucial role of fostering a conducive environment for both educators and learners to achieve optimal academic outcomes, according to a press release.
She further highlighted that a supportive and well-resourced educational setting is essential for maximising academic performance and overall student well-being.
She also released an academic publication titled ‘Episteme of Knowledge Cultures’, published by Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur.
NEISSR: The Students Council for Social Change (SCSC), North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Chümoukedima, also organised its 10th freshers’ day to welcome new students of the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work courses.
Jenpu Rongmei, founder and chief functionary of CAN Youth, who was the special guest at the event, highlighted the importance of ‘never giving up’ when confronted with challenges and difficulties in life.
He motivated both old and new students to stay focused on their pursuit of dreams. He emphasised that students should remember three important aspects: prayer, communication, and not compromising on their journey to achieve their purpose in life.
At the event, Khumti T Sangtam and Lilo P Chishi were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher 2024, respectively.
