JNVCAA organises social work at Wokha ground
WOKHA — As part of its annual social responsibility initiative, the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Chukitong Alumni Association (JNVCAA) conducted a social work at Wokha local ground on November 7 following the Tokhü Emong celebration.
The JNVCAA’s annual activity aims to raise awareness about civic sense and the proper disposal of waste.
The association president, Zuchanthung Ezung, informed that the initiative was intended to sensitise citizens about responsible waste management. He noted that the Tokhü Emong festival, being a major event for the Lotha community, resulted in significant waste accumulation due to public gatherings and stalls.
Ezung emphasised that the association has been actively involved in cleaning efforts to manage the waste generated during the festival, highlighting the importance of maintaining cleanliness and promoting environmental consciousness in the community.
