Diphu, Sep. 6 (EMN): Karbi Anglong ME Teachers Association (KAMETA) has expressed concern at the lack of progress in the investigation of the disappearance of Rong Ar-e ME School teacher, Moneswar Kalita.

The school teacher went missing on August 30 while on his way to school and his bike was later found lying by the roadside of a foothill.

The association said that though there is peace prevailing in the district, the incident is an instance of threat to the lives of teachers who are posted in interior areas of Karbi Anglong.

The association urged the district administration to intensify the search operation on a war footing to find Moneswar Kalita at the earliest.
