Karbi Anglong observes World Blood Donor Day
DIPHU — The 20 Bn. CRPF organised a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day at Diphu Medical College and Hospital in Diphu on Wednesday.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Commandant, 20 Bn. CRPF, Sh. Swarn Singh.
Inaugurating the camp, Singh said that it is a unique opportunity for the blood donors to make selfless contributions to patients and appreciated the noble gesture of all the participants.
He also appreciated the efforts put in by BJYM, medical officers, staff of DMCH and all ranks of 20 Bn. CRPF for making the camp a success.
50 jawans of 20 Bn. CRPF participated in the camp and 20 units of blood were donated.
Donor certificates were given away to those who took part in the camp.
The BJYM, Karbi Anglong District (East) also organised a voluntary blood donation camp on the occasion at Blood Bank, Diphu Medical College & Hospital, Diphu. The Camp was graced by DC, Madhumita Bhagwati, ACS.
