Karbi Anglong students pretest reschedule of HSLC examination

DIPHU: The students who are appearing the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination at Dokmoka Higher Secondary School examination centre carried out a protest at Dokmoka town in Karbi Anglong here on Saturday against the cancellation of Modern Indian Language (MIL) and English (IL) subjects examination.

The Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) has decided to hold the examination of MIL and English (IL) on April 1 instead of March 18, because of the Assamese (MIL) question paper leak. 

The students left disappointed after a notice of cancellation was displayed on a blackboard at the entrance gate of the examination hall. Later, the students held a protest and shouted slogans against the government.

One of the students said, ‘We are very disappointed following the cancellation of the examination. We do not want re-examination. The government is playing with us so we are not going to write the exam again’.
