Kohima, Jan. 3 (EMN): The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) conducted its annual sports meet on the theme “Press towards the goal” (Philippians 3:12) at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima, Chiephobozou Indoor Stadium and Tsiesema ground from Dec. 27 to 30th, 2021 and Jan. 3, 2022.
An update from the KBC Media Ministry informed that Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor graced the inaugural programme and started off the sports meet on Dec. 27.
Football, cricket, volleyball, tug-of-war, chess and badminton were conducted for men while football, penalty shoot-out, volleyball, tug- of- war, chess and badminton were held for women.
Meanwhile for the junior and Sunday school, track and field events were conducted, while an exhibition match of Naga wrestling for men and marathon race for men and women was also held.
In the quiz competition, give-away prizes were won by Pekrubeinuo Sanchu and Petekhrienuo Kulnu while the best disciplined team was awarded to Koinonia Prayer Center.
