KBC Jubilee Trophy: Meriema, Chiechama advance to semis

Kohima, Nov. 2 (EMN): Meriema BC and Chiechama BC advanced to the semi-finals of the ongoing Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) Jubilee Trophy on Wednesday at Meriema ground in Kohima.

Playing the first match of the day, Meriema BC beat Chedema BC 2-1. Kekhriengulie Üsou scored a brace for Meriema BC while Neithovilie Keyho netted the lone goal for Chedema BC.

In the second match, Chiechama BC outplayed Chakhesang BC 2-1 to book their semi-final berth.

Velukho Rhakho opened the account for Chakhesang BC, but Chiechama’s Vilazolie Rio scored twice in the second half to seal the fate of Chakhesang BC.

Meriema BC and Chiechama BC will now clash in the second semi-final match.

• 2^nd semi-final: Meriema BC vs Chiechama BC (1 pm)
