KOHIMA — Members of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) on Wednesday distributed free coffee, tea, and snacks to travelers near Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC) at Tsiesema army camp along the National Highway-2.
An update from the Koinonia media ministry informed that it was an annual event of the junior CYE and youth department of the church with an objective to spread the message of love and joy to commemorate the onset of the festive season-Christmas.
During the day, KBC members not only treated travelers to the warmth of free coffee, tea and snacks but also shared messages of the gospel through thoughtfully crafted bookmarks.
“This is part of the annual event of the Koinonia Baptist Church youth, while this act of kindness serves as a reminder that the holiday season is not just about festivities but also about coming together as a community to share warmth and goodwill,” the statement read.
It mentioned that the day-long activity began with an invocation prayer said by Rukuotuo Kuotsu, evangelist of Koinonia Baptist Church, and the youth enthusiastically shared the blessings of Christmas with the travelers.
