Kohima Super Cup: New Market FC, Hurricane Boys advance
Sinlo Kent, Theja Chusi score hat-tricks

Kohima, May 18 (EMN): On day-three of the ongoing 4th Kohima Super Cup 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima, Sinlo Kent of New Market FC (NMFC) and Theja Chusi of Hurricane Boys scored hat-tricks for their respective teams and advanced further into the tournament.
On Wednesday’s first match, NMFC outplayed Highlanders FC with a humiliating scoreline of 9-0. As soon as the whistle blew, Kent scored the first goal in the second minute and added another goal in the fourth minute.
In the 14th minute, Limakumzuk Ao added another goal and Visalie also contributed for the team in the 32nd minute to end the first half. After the break, Hurricane Boys’ disappointing run continued when Nrethnmang and Nydhong scored a goal each in the 54th and 56th minute, while Kent struck the line for a hat-trick in the 59th minute.
That was not enough for the dominating NMFC as two more goals were added by Gideon Leo and Nydhong in the 74th and 85 minute.
The second match was not much of a difference with Hurricane Boys defeating the Secretariat United 5-0.
Even though the first half was goal-less, in the second half, Chusi opened the account in the 60th minute for Hurricane Boys and scored another in the 75th minute. Rokotuolie Thanyü added another goal in the 77th minute.
Chusi scored his hat-trick in the 81st minute and added another in the next minute to secure a thrashing win.
Meanwhile on Thursday, United 4 FC will take on Sechü FCA at 11:30 am and IGS XI will play against G Sports FC at 1:30 pm.
