Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) held its annual one-day free distribution of coffee, tea and sticky rice cookies to Kohima-Wokha-Mokokchung bound travellers along the national highway near Koinonia Prayer Centre Tsiesema on Monday.
An update from KBC informed that it is an annual event of the church organised by the youth and junior CYE department in celebration of Christmas. Around 150 volunteers catered to more than 2100 travellers on the day, it said.
“We are much excited to serve the weary travellers and it is not a donation drive. Through this act, it is to spread love, peace and joy to the world. Koinonia Baptist Church wishes all a merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” it read.
