Dimapur, Jan. 5 (EMN): A biography on Dr. Nihoto P Chishi, written by Dr. Hesheto Y Chishi, was released by the lone state Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi at Nihoto village in Dimapur on January 5. The book release also marked the 95th birth anniversary of Dr. Nihoto P Chishi.
Speaking at the release programme as the guest of honour, Yepthomi stated that Dr. Nihoto P Chishi was his school teacher at Aghunato town in 1963.
Yepthomi has described Chishi as one of the best teachers of his time who was always punctual, honest and one who sincerely served the community, an update from the author stated on Tuesday.
Besides, Yepthomi addressed him as a peace loving citizens and a man of charity by nature, who possess values of community service and quality of life which today’s younger generation need to emulate.
Dr. Hesheto Chishi, in his author’s note, mentioned that Dr. Nihoto P Chishi was really a man of substance who has a golden heart for the people. He stated that Dr. Nihoto’s concerns for the well being of the community was adorable and appreciable.
The programme was chaired by National Peace Prayer Centre (NPCC) director Ahovi Zhimomi and recorder by NPCC secretary Shikaho Chishi.
The invocation was pronounced by NBC pastor Mughalu Aowomi, while a song was presented by the youth of Nihoto Baptist Church and the benediction was said by NPPC chaplain Pihoshe Assumi.
