Lotha Football Championship: XI Brothers, Titans XI, ERSA, Friends Club, Lower Senchum through to quarter-finals
DIMAPUR — Five more teams — XI Brothers, Titans XI, ERSA, Friends Club and Lower Senchum FC – were through to the quarter-finals of the ongoing 13th edition of the Lotha Football Championship (LFC) organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA).
Playing their last league match of the tournament on Wednesday, defending champions XI Brothers FC (Chukitong) defeated Restoring Boys 2-0 to find a berth in the quarter-finals, while latter failed to quality with a single point behind Friends Club, updated WDFA.
The first goal for XI Brothers came through a beautiful header from Saronbemo in the 64th minute, before the tournament’s highest scorer Mhonthung (13 goals so far) sealed the game by score a goal in the 66th minute.
The last league match of the tournament between Englan Range SA (ERSA) and Titans XI ended in a goalless draw after both the teams failed to find the net. However, both teams qualified to the next round.
Quarter-finals of the LFC will begin on January 27 at 10:30 am, said the update.

On January 27
1st match at 10:30 am: XI Brothers FC (Chukitong) vs Lower Senchum FC
2nd match at 12:30 pm: Nyiro Range SA (NRSA) vs Englan Range SA (ERSA)
On January 29
1st match at 10:30 am: Vipers Club (Old Changsu) vs Titans XI (Pangti)
2nd match at 12:30 pm: Friends Club (Wokha village) vs Airfield FC
