MALT Mokokchung marks 75 years, adopts resolution
MOKOKCHUNG —The Mopungchuket Ait Laishir Telungjem (MALT) Mokokchung unit celebrated its 75th jubilee on Tuesday at Aongza Ki, Mokokchung, on the theme ‘Watemsen nükla’, which translates to ‘Future ready’.
MALT Mokokchung was founded in 1948 with the primary goal of ensuring the welfare of students from Mopungchuket village who were pursuing their studies in Mokokchung.
The jubilee prayer was led by Rev. Dr. A Tali Ao, academic dean at Clark Theological College, Aolijen, while notable keynote speakers included Aolemla Jamir and Amba Jamir. The event also featured an exhortation delivered by S Wati Ozukum, former treasurer of MALT Mokokchung.
The MALT Mokokchung jubilee resolution was formally adopted during the celebration. Recognising that research and documentation are the foundation of becoming ‘future ready’, the MALT Mokokchung resolved to embark on research and documentation initiatives across various domains.
A jubilee souvenir was also unveiled during the programme by district economics and statistics officer Aotemsu.
