Maruti Suzuki launches fourth generation Swift in Nagaland

DIMAPUR — Maruti Suzuki on Friday launched the fourth generation of the Swift hatchback segment at the Progressive Motors in Dimapur.

The 2024 model dubbed as Maruti Suzuki ‘Epic New Swift’ was unveiled by musician and entrepreneur Alobo Naga along with the MD of Progressive Motors Ameto Peseyie and SBI Hornbill Branch Manager Purushottam.

Speaking at the event, Peseyie described the launch of the iconic Swift as a “landmark day for them”, saying that the automaker had brought out this ‘Epic New Swift’ keeping in mind the changing dynamic. He added that the new model stands on its heart, which is its engine.

Also speaking at the launch programme, Purushottam, who was also the chief guest, said that Progressive Motors, SBI and Maruti Suzuki have been partners for many years, providing services to many customers.

While maintaining that Progressive Motors has provided SBI with business opportunity, he expressed hope to continue the good relationship.

The Epic New Swift comes with an all-new Z-series engine, which the company said sets a new standard in terms of safety, as it comes with six airbags standards across all variants and additional safety features to keep the risk of injury to a minimum and safety to the maximum.

It added that the new model stands apart in terms of performance, sustainability and efficiency.
