Model Christian College (MCC) organised an awareness programme on Mission LiFE under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
DIMAPUR — Model Christian College (MCC) organised an awareness programme on Mission LiFE under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) at the college premises on Wednesday.
An update from the college stated that junior scientific assistants from the Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) namely Y Hanpong Konyak and Rongsenben Longkumer were the resource persons.
It stated that Y Hanpong Konyak spoke on the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) highlighting the sources, causes and effects of air pollution.
Rongsenben Longkumer spoke on ‘Mission LiFE,’ a global movement launched in 2023 which focuses on lifestyle. She stressed the importance of saving energy, water, waste segregation and the immediate need of focusing on the three Rs.
It stated that the college took a pledge in contributing towards a cleaner environment and be agents of change. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Olivi G Chophy, NPCB senior scientific assistant. It added that posters and notepads were distributed by the NPCB team.
