Mental health capacity building held at PHC Botsa
DIMAPUR — The District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), organised a one-day mental health capacity building at Primary Health Centre in Botsa on October 4.
According to an update, Dr. Thinuosatuo Mezhu, nodal officer of DMHP, introduced about the services to the participants, while Ruokuotuonuo Rutsa, clinical psychologist of DMHP, Kohima, spoke on identification of signs and symptoms of common mental illness and severe mental illness.
Veronica Nriame, psychiatric social worker, highlighted to the attendees on the preventive and promotive measures, stress management and essential coping strategies through activity-based learning, while Kethozenuo Mere, psychiatric nurse, spoke on the topic ‘Psychological first aid: look, listen and link.’
Dr. Ropfukolhou Dolie, medical officer, expressed appreciation for the initiative and assured application of the learning from the capacity building programme.
The mental health capacity building was attended by ASHA workers, CHO, nurses and staff of PHC Botsa.
