Modern College holds communication workshop
DIMAPUR — The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) of Modern College, Piphema, organised a workshop on non-verbal aspects of communication for both the teaching and non-teaching faculty of the college on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the workshop was divided into three sessions. The first session focused on body language, covering movement, posture, gestures, eye contact, and facial expressions. In the second session, vocal elements were emphasised, including volume, pace, pauses, fillers, and tones. The final session centred on the training of trainers.
The workshop’s resource person was Worrin Muivah, founder and CEO of Step Academy. Teisovi Domeh, assistant professor, department of Sociology, served as the event’s moderator. The welcome note was delivered by Dr. Vitsou Yano, principal of Modern College, and the vote of thanks was extended by Chanini Lokho, executive director.
Vini Achumi, IQAC coordinator, acted as the recorder for the workshop, which was attended by a total of 31 participants.
