Modern College students undertake department field trip
DIMAPUR — The Department of Political Science, Modern College Piphema, organised a departmental field trip to Sendenyu Community Biodiversity and Wildlife Reserve and Parashen under Tseminyu district, on March 16.
The annual departmental trip was organised to inculcate in the students the importance of preserving the natural flora and fauna of the area, an update stated.
The students along with the teaching faculty trekked the forest reserve area to Parashen, the site where the first Naga national flag was hoisted by Thungdi Chang, commander in chief of Naga Home Guard, in the presence of AZ Phizo, the then president of the Naga National Council and other freedom fighters.
The trip was undertaken by the second and the sixth semester Political Science dept. students along with five faculty members.
