Modi lauds Swacch Bharat Mission activities in Tuensang
DIMAPUR — Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has appreciated the works done under Swacch Bharat Mission (SBM) in Tuensang district.
Replying to a tweet updated by Jacob Zhimomi, minister of PHED and Cooperation, Modi tweeted, “Good! We’ve seen tremendous energy towards Swachhata all across India, which has led to tangible benefits in various sectors including health and women empowerment.”

In his tweet, Zhimomi had shared pictures of completed works from New Chungliyimti, Keyanru, N/Tsadang and Angangba villages in Tuensang district under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) during 2022-23.

He tweeted, “Carrying forward PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of Swachh Bharat, Nagaland is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the same.”
“Our commitment towards universal sanitation coverage across rural Nagaland remains firm and resolute. It’s my endeavour to ensure a clean & healthy Nagaland,” read the tweet.
According to the data provided in Nagaland CM Dashboard, a total of 2,56,153 rural household toilets in 1,425 villages have been built in the state from March 5, 2020 to April 16, 2023. It may also be mentioned that 1,424 villages have been verified as open defecation-free (ODF) in the state as per the data. Swacch Bharat Mission
