Modi to flag off New Vande Bharat Express between New Jalpaiguri and Patna
DIMAPUR — Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to flag off 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains across the country, including one for New Jalpaiguri-Patna-New Jalpaiguri route which will benefit the people of West Bengal, Bihar and adjacent areas.
The Vande Bharat Express (train No. 22233/22234) from New Jalpaiguri to Patna, which will be inaugurated on March 12 through video-conferencing, will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 9 am and is expected reach its destination at Patna Jn. at 5:30 pm during the inaugural run, said an update from NF Railway on Monday.
The regular service of the train, which will have 8 coaches with seating capacity of 530 numbers, one Executive Class, five Chair Car and two Driver Trail coaches, will start from March 14 from both end and run six days a week via Kishanganj and Katihar. The trains are expected to reach its destination in about seven hours.
In regard to the fare between New Jalpaiguri – Patna Jn., it has been fixed at INR 2080 for Executive Class (INR 2250 inclusive of catering charges) and INR 1040 for Chair Car (INR 1180 inclusive of catering charges).
