More than INR 30 lakh stolen from private college in Kohima
KOHIMA — Unidentified miscreants broke into the office of Baptist College in Kohima located in Mission Compound on August 12 at midnight and took away a huge amount of cash.
Confirming the incident, the Kohima police told Eastern Mirror on Friday that it received a first information report (FIR) from the principal of the college on August 14 morning in connection with the burglary, which said a huge sum of money was stolen in the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.
Accordingly, a case was registered at North Police Station in Kohima.
It was informed that more than INR 30 lakh was stolen from a room where the college admission fees were kept.
Meanwhile, the police found out upon checking the CCTV footage that the burglary took place on Saturday midnight.
In this regard, investigations are on to arrest the culprit, it was informed.
