Nagaland 10K The Great Hornbill Run set for December 9

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Athletics Association will organise the 4th edition of the “Nagaland 10K The Great Hornbill Run” on December 9 at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence (RCSE), Sovima, Chümoukedima .

According to an update, the event is an initiative of the Nagaland Athletics Association under the aegis of the Nagaland Olympic Association, Athletics Federation of India, and the Department of Tourism. It is sponsored by Bank of Baroda.

The events include the following categories: senior men 10 km, senior women 10 km, U-20 boys 10 km, U-20 girls 10 km, U-18 boys 8 km, and U-18 girls 8 km.

Prizes for the senior category include INR 30,000 for the first place, INR 20,000 for the second place, INR 10,000 for the third place, INR 8,000 for the fourth place, INR 6,000 for the fifth place, INR 4,000 for the sixth place, and INR 2,000 for the seventh place.

For the U-20 and U-18 categories, the first-place winners will receive INR 20,000, the second place INR 10,000, the third place INR 7,000, the fourth place INR 5,000, the fifth place INR 3,000, the sixth place INR 2,000, and the seventh place INR 1,000.

The deadline for registration is December 5. For age verification, Indian citizens must present a valid Aadhaar card, while tourists are required to provide a passport.

The age brackets are as follows: U-18 boys and girls must be born on or after 10 December 2006, while U-20 boys and girls must be born between 9 December 2006 and 10 December 2004.

The registration fee is INR 500 for senior men and women and INR 300 for U-20 and U-18 boys and girls.
