Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The Alumni Association of Akuluto Government High School (AAAGHS) organised a free medical camp at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Akuluto, under Zunheboto district on November 19. The medical camp was supported by Medical department headed by Dr. K Vikato Kinny, principal director of Health and Family Welfare, who is also an alumnus of AAAGHS (batch of 1978).
An update from the association informed that 21 doctors along with officials and technicians from the directorate in Kohima, doctors from District Hospital of Zunheboto and Mokochung conducted the camp. The doctors included medicine specialist, gynecologist, dentists, ENT specialist, orthopedic, physiotherapist, psychologist, surgeon, anesthetist, ophthalmologist and audiologist, who were supported by doctor and nurses of PHC, Akuluto.
It stated advisor of NSDMA and CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi, also provided financial support towards the camp, while the Akuluto Range Students’ Union provided volunteers.
It informed that 369 patients attended the medical camp.
Meanwhile, AAAGHS has thanked the medical fraternity from the directorate, district doctors from Zunheboto and Mokokchung for the successful conduct of the camp. The alumni office bearers consisted of Kavito Chishi as president, Prof. Akali Sema as secretary, Khevuto Chopi as treasurer, Toky Chishi as information secretary, and Nitovi Ayemi, Toniho Chopi and Khenito Chishi as members.
