Nagaland Advisor advocates translating government schemes in local dialect
PFUTSERO — Advisor of Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD), Kudecho Khamo, has advocated translating all government programmes and polices including central schemes into local dialect for effective implementation.
Speaking as the special guest at the general conference of Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) held at Pfutsero town hall on Friday, Khamo has proposed translating all the government policies and programme including the central schemes into local dialect to enable the people know real purpose for successful implementation.
He has appreciated the efforts of CCLB to promote mother tongue, which is in line with the government to encourage mother tongue. Having learned that the board has introduced certificate courses in Chokri language, he encouraged them to use mother tongue in programmes.
He urged the participants and the community to revive the traditional values of honesty, hardworking while upholding the Christian faith. He further encouraged the rural people to be proactive and avail schemes and facilities of the government.
In his keynote address, the board chairman, Ariyi Nienu, has highlighted about the works and progress in research and development of Chokri literature over the years. Nienu informed that the diploma certificate course would also be introduced soon.
The programme was chaired by Vechisa Venue, CCLB vice chairman, while a folk song was presented by Thüküvelü Sakhamo, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Lhüvesayi Lohe, CCLB joint secretary.
Later in the technical session, Zhovehu Lohe, convenor of board of advisor, and Nuveta Khesoh, member of CCLB diploma certificate committee, spoke on the need and importance of mother tongue and also highlighted the progress and status of Chokri literature works. The session was moderated by Dr. Medongoi Rhakho, CCLB general secretary (technical).
