Nagaland Chess Association to conduct arbiter seminar, exam in Dimapur
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Chess Association (NCA), on behalf of the All India Chess Federation, will be organising the first ever senior national arbiter (SNA) seminar and exam on November 28 and the 29th at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur.
In a press release, the NCA informed that the successful trainees of the arbiter seminar and exam will become qualified national arbiters with a lifetime title, and able to serve as arbiters anywhere around the country with honorarium for the services.
“Any person above 17 years of age can register as a trainee for the seminar. No other qualification is required. A person does not need to be even a chess player to undergo this training. An arbiter only needs to know the laws and rules of chess well, which will be taught intensively in the seminar,” it stated.
The two-day SNA seminar and exam will consist of training sessions and in the end, an exam will be conducted. There are only 40 seats available. The registration fee is INR 4000 per person, the release stated.
