Nagaland Chief Minister congratulates medal winners; extends Apikimti greetings
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday congratulated the state’s women’s sepaktakraw team for making the state proud by winning silver and bronze medals in two events at the ongoing National Games in Goa.
“Big congratulations to the Nagaland Sepaktakraw Women’s Regu team for winning the Silver Medal. A well-deserved success for your hard work and perseverance. Best wishes to the team and the coach for more success. Nagaland is proud of you!” he wrote on X.

He also congratulated the state’s women’s sepaktakraw team for winning bronze medal in the Team Event, and lauded the coaches and support staff.
In another post, the CM conveyed Apikimti greetings to the Sumi community.
“Greetings to Sumi community on the occasion of Apikimti, the observance of purification of the body. It marks the end of labour and beginning of harvest. As the festival lead us into a purified state of mind and body, may it prepare us for what lies ahead,” he wrote.
