Nagaland Covid-19 update: 94 new cases detected

Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 94 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 2495.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through an update on Wednesday.

‘Tested 455 samples for Covid-19, out of which 94 cases came out positive. Of the new cases, 89 are from Dimapur and five from Kohima. Necessary contact tracing have been activated and all primary contacts are under self isolation,’ the minister tweeted.

According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has1556 active Covid-19 cases, 659 recoveries and four deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with1121 active cases, followed by Kohima –389 Mon – 199, Peren – 21, Phek – 12, Mokokchung- 11 and Zunheboto- 61, Wokha – 12, Tuensang – 4, and Longleng andKiphire has zero cases so far.
