Dimapur, Sep. 6 (EMN): As part of the ongoing developmental activities, the deputy commissioner of Tseminyu, Dr. Zasekuolie, has proposed widening of the existing approach road to two-lane from the road junction near Tseminyu town hall towards the district administrative headquarters site at Phenda area.
A DIPR report stated that a notification was issued to enable smooth access for the purpose of facilitating expansion and development of the district administrative headquarter, including the development of government offices and modern town infrastructure at the proposed site.
It stated that portions of government allotted plots of land situated alongside the aforementioned road stretch fall within the proposed road widening area surveyed by the office of the executive engineer PWD (R&B), Tseminyu.
As per the terms and conditions of the allotment order issued by the government, it was clearly mentioned that the government would take over the land allotted to the allottee if required and for which no alternative site would be allotted, it stated.
“Therefore, it has been ordered that the government will take over those portions of allotted land falling within the aforementioned surveyed road area for public utility,” it stated.
In view of the above, all concerned individuals and organisations with portions of their allotted plot of land falling within the earmarked land area proposed for road widening have been notified to clear and remove any materials/ structures from the surveyed land area within 15 days of the notice, after which the road widening exercise would commence, it stated.
“Any concerned individuals/ groups failing to take compliant action of the notice within the stipulated period shall be doing so at their own risk. This notice is issued for strict compliance by all concerned,” the notification stated.
