Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): The office of District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima, conducted the Kohima district level students’ Science seminar on September 22 in its conference hall on the theme “Basic Sciences for sustainable development: challenges and prospects.”
An update from the DEO’s office stated that the competition was participated by 10 schools. The competition was judged by Mhasikholie Sachü from TM GHSS; Bharat Prasad from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School; and Vilakhole Naki from SCERT; together with the DEO of Kohima, Emilo Patton.
It stated that Tsupongla Shillen of class10 from Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School secured the first position, while Jandeno S Jami of class 10 from Fernwood School secured the second position and Hihile Semp of class 10 from Don Bosco School in Tseminyu secured the third position.
Besides acknowledging the winners with citation and cash awards, it stated that citation and cash was also given all the participants and teacher guides.
It further informed that the first prize winner would represent Kohima district at the state level Science Fair to be held on October 7 at Bethesda Higher Secondary School in Dimapur.
